Refund a Payment

Did someone pay incorrectly, pay too much, or need a refund for other reasons? Here's how to do it right from Hoopit 💸

1. Find the payment request you want to refund and click View Details

2. Click Refund

3. Enter the refund amount, select a reason, add a comment if needed, and click Refund

4. The payment will now be marked as refunded and the payer will receive an email notification about the refund. The money will be returned to the payment card

Where is the refund paid out?

The money is returned directly to the payment card that was used.

Where is the money deducted from?

The money will automatically be deducted from your next payout from Hoopit.

When will the money arrive in the account?

The money is normally returned within 5 days.

Who has access to perform a refund?

The same person who has access to edit the payment request. See this article for more information
