Registration in NIF

This article shows how a member verifies their user against NIF.

This verification is necessary for members to remain active in the correct branch in NIF and for the club to be able to create a license for the player in SA.

Step 1

You will receive an email and notification in the app to complete registration in NIF. Click in and you will see this. This notification will also be in "Tasks" as long as the registration is not completed.

Step 2

Confirm or change the information in the form and click "Create Sports ID" at the bottom.


Step 3

The form initiates a verification process with NIF which you can read more about here. You will then receive an email back from NIF where you must click the button to verify yourself or your child.

Confirm information for yourself/child and the Hoopit and NIF user will be linked 🎉

Solution

I cannot create a license for the player in SportsAdmin (SA). What do I do?

For the member to be registered as active in the branch, this verification must be completed.

Can I as a club initiate this verification?

Yes, from Members > Members in Hoopit you can send a "reminder to complete registration".

Error message: "User already exists"

Go back to Step 2 and double-check the information

Error message: "There is no match between submitted information and social security number. Contact the sports club so they can correct the information and send you a new link to confirm membership."

Go back to Step 2 and double-check the information. The name must match what is registered in the National Register

Error message: "Invalid link"

Go back to Step 2. The link has either expired (after 24 hours from when you received it), or you have already used the link.

Error message: "Customer already verified with Buypass, but does not exists in database".

Contact support@idrettsforbundet.no so they can retrieve the information from Buypass.
